Payroll first

A clearer way to manage payroll.

Bring your payroll needs and your rewards ideas to one conversation. YTS Rewards pairs payroll support with a points-based rewards program. Start with your team, your pay cycle and who does what, then talk through the support and reward terms that would suit you.

01

What the payroll conversation covers

A payroll conversation starts with who’s being paid, how often, how they’re engaged and who handles the work now. From there, YTS Payroll Solutions can talk through the support that suits your organisation, rather than assuming one fixed package. The rewards program comes up once the payroll picture is clear, because points only make sense when the pay arrangement behind them is understood. What’s covered, the options and the commercial terms are agreed directly with YTS before onboarding begins.

  • Who needs to be paid and how often
  • How each group of workers is engaged
  • Who currently prepares and approves pay runs
  • Whether a rewards program is part of the discussion
  • Any date you’d like to work towards
02

Responsibilities worth settling early

Payroll runs best when everyone knows their part. Your organisation usually holds the facts about hours, roles and approvals, while a payroll provider handles the processing steps agreed with it. It helps to write down who supplies timesheets, who approves changes, who answers a worker’s pay question and who to call when something looks wrong. Raise this in your first enquiry, and your accountant can help you work out where the lines sit.

  • Who supplies and approves hours or timesheets
  • How changes to pay details are requested
  • Who workers contact with pay questions
  • How corrections are raised and confirmed
  • Where your accountant or bookkeeper fits in

Rewards alongside payroll

Points sit next to payroll; they don’t replace any part of it. Pay, superannuation and entitlements stay governed by the law and your own arrangements. The rewards program adds points that YTS can talk through with you, including which payroll activity may be eligible and how people would later request a reward. Those rules aren’t set out on this website. They’re agreed directly and confirmed in writing before anything starts.

  • Rewards never stand in for pay or entitlements
  • Eligible activity is defined in your agreed terms
  • Ask how points are recorded and confirmed
  • Ask how changes to the arrangement are handled
  • Keep rewards questions separate from pay questions

More questions
Do I need the rewards program to use YTS for payroll?

Whether payroll and rewards come together or separately is something to raise in your enquiry. YTS Rewards is presented as payroll plus points, so tell us what you’re looking for and we can talk it through directly before onboarding.

What should I send in a first enquiry?

Keep it simple: who you are, what kind of workers or team you have, what you’d like to discuss and a good way to reply. Please don’t send tax file numbers, bank details, pay records or identification in a first message.

Does this website process payroll?

No. The website is general information and a way to start an enquiry. There’s no payroll portal or login here. Any payroll service is set up through a separate conversation and agreement with YTS Payroll Solutions Pty Ltd.
